This Privacy Policy explains how Selection Ready (ABN 44 565 174 164) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information across all SelectionReady applications ("the Apps"), including PolicePath, ClearancePath, ArmyPath, NavyPath, AirforcePath, ParamedicPath, CorrectionsPath, CommandoPath, and FirefighterPath. This policy complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following data when you use the Apps:
- Email address for authentication and account recovery.
- Display name (optional) for personalising your experience.
- Date of birth for age verification only. Stored solely to confirm eligibility (minimum age 16). Not shared with third parties.
- Training progress and fitness test results, including session history, scores, and completion records.
- Health-related data: fitness test scores, workout records, body metrics (height, weight where provided), and training phase.
- Psychological wellness data: meditation session records, anxiety exposure challenge results, and mental resilience scores.
- App usage data: screens visited, features used, session duration, and device type.
2. Health and Sensitive Data
Some data collected by the Apps (fitness test results, training records, body metrics, psychological assessment scores) may be considered health-related information under Australian privacy law. This data is:
- Stored securely and encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
- Used solely to provide and personalise your training experience, including calculating readiness scores, tracking fitness progress, and generating training recommendations.
- Never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
- Deletable at any time via Settings > Delete Account in any App, which permanently removes all associated personal data.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Provide and personalise the training experience across each App.
- Track your progress across training sessions and modules.
- Calculate readiness scores, fitness benchmarks, and progress metrics.
- Improve the Apps based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns. No individual data is used for this purpose.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) in the australia-southeast1 (Sydney) region. All data is:
- Encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Subject to Google Cloud's security practices and compliance certifications, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (which cannot identify individual users) may be used internally to improve the Apps.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Account deletion: Upon account deletion (via Settings > Delete Account), all personal data and training records are permanently removed within 30 days.
- Anonymised data: Aggregated, anonymised analytics data (which cannot identify individuals) may be retained indefinitely to improve the Apps.
7. Data Breach Notification
In compliance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved.
8. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data (APP 12). You can view all stored data within each App.
- Correct inaccurate data (APP 13) via your account settings.
- Request deletion of your data via Settings > Delete Account.
- Export your training data via Settings > Export Training Data.
- Delete individual records (such as specific fitness test results) within each App.
- Withdraw consent and close your account at any time.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
The Apps use local storage to cache data for offline performance. On web versions of the Apps, no third-party tracking cookies are used. Any non-essential storage is subject to user consent.
10. Electronic Communications (Spam Act 2003)
Any emails sent by SelectionReady (account verification, training reminders, policy updates) comply with the Spam Act 2003. All emails include:
- Clear sender identification (SelectionReady or the specific App name).
- A functioning unsubscribe mechanism.

11. Children
The Apps are not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, their account and associated data will be deleted promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via the Apps or email. Continued use of any App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
